Power Electronics & Energy Storage Technology

The wide-spread use of renewable energy and the next-generation electric vehicles make “Power electronics and storage  technology” one of the most important components in the future electrical network (smart grid).

SGRU aims to establish comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the real-world power electronics and energy storage technology, and to help advancement of this technology through research activities. SGRU has collaborated closely with utilities and governmental organization in several projects such as Mae Hong Son Smart Grid Pilot Project (EGAT) and CU-BEMS project (EPPO).

SGRU also supports the Electrical Engineering Department for the graduate degree study in the “Smart grid and renewable  energy” program under the “Energy cluster”.
